Empowering Communities for a Brighter Future

Lusubilo Community Care conducted a three-day orientation training in Reuben VDC, TA Kameme Chitipa District from 18 to 21 August, 2023 to empower CBCCs in the communities. The training comprised topics on understanding the meaning and duties of the committee, roles of office bearers, group dynamics, conflict management, and resource mobilization. This was in response to address the gap in CBCCs discovered during monitoring exercise conducted by Lusubilo Field Officer Mr. Wisdom Kayange and the CBO executive committees.

One of the participants Janet Sinkhutwa from Damasca CBCC appreciated the training saying it has helped them to know why they are important being in the committee. She said that “mostly conflicts were caused by division of roles which made some of us not to be active in the committee but now we will play our role, we were blind but now we know its our duty to spearhead the CBCC”.
